The Strategic Operations Manager is responsible for proactively strengthening the company’s operational foundation through improved process, visibility, and structure.

This role focuses on designing systems that allow field operations to execute work efficiently with fewer disruptions, clearer expectations, and better coordination across departments.

Rather than managing daily operations, this role builds the frameworks that enable operational leaders to succeed and helps prevent recurring issues before they impact projects, customers, or field teams.

Process

Develop clear, repeatable workflows that reduce confusion and prevent avoidable operational issues.

Visibility

Create reporting systems and operational transparency so leadership and field teams can identify potential problems early.

Structure

Clarify roles, responsibilities, and operational ownership to improve coordination and accountability.

Field Operations Enablement

Strengthen systems and processes so project managers and technicians can focus on executing work rather than solving preventable operational problems.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Systems & Process Development

  • Design and improve operational processes that support project execution and service delivery
  • Identify recurring operational issues and implement long-term solutions
  • Document operational workflows and best practices
  • Ensure operational processes scale with company growth

Operational Visibility

  • Develop dashboards and reporting that provide insight into operational performance
  • Improve information flow between departments
  • Establish metrics that help leadership anticipate operational challenges

Organizational Structure & Alignment

  • Clarify operational ownership and accountability across teams
  • Improve coordination between project management, field teams, engineering, service, training, and administration
  • Reduce inefficiencies caused by unclear roles or communication gaps

Leadership Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer

  • Share institutional knowledge and operational best practices
  • Help strengthen the leadership bench within operations

Continuous Improvement & Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead operational improvement initiatives
  • Analyze operational trends and recommend improvements
  • Support leadership in evaluating new tools, systems, and operational strategies
