
Position Summary
Harris Integration is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Controls Service Technician to join our Building Automation team. This role focuses on diagnosing, servicing, and optimizing DDC/BAS systems to ensure peak performance, energy efficiency, and exceptional customer experience.
Automated Logic (ALC) experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with hands-on ALC knowledge will be highly prioritized.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and service HVAC control systems, DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, and networks
Diagnose and resolve issues within Automated Logic (ALC) systems including controllers, graphics, trends, and alarms
Perform preventative maintenance and system performance evaluations
Modify system graphics, trends, and support programming adjustments
Commission and validate system upgrades or expansions
Document service activity clearly within digital platforms
Maintain professional and responsive communication with customers
Manage service schedule and priorities independently
Technical Experience (Strongly Preferred)
Hands-on experience with Automated Logic (ALC) systems
Experience using WebCTRL
Strong computer proficiency (required) including:
Navigating BAS software platforms
Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, routers, switches)
Comfort using laptops in the field
Ability to work within Windows-based systems
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and digital service documentation tools
Understanding of BACnet, Modbus, and other control protocols
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (VAVs, AHUs, chillers, boilers, etc.)
Ability to read control drawings and wiring diagrams
Qualifications
2+ years HVAC Controls experience preferred
ALC system experience highly desirable
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking ability
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Customer-focused mindset
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
