DoD SkillBridge is a U.S. Department of Defense program connecting transitioning service members with civilian internships, apprenticeships, and training during their final 180 days of active duty allowing them to gain valuable work experience in fields like tech, healthcare, and business with public and private sector partners at no cost to the service member. Participants continue to receive military pay and benefits, while learning new skills, building resumes, and preparing for civilian careers, with commander approval ensuring mission readiness.
HVAC Controls Apprentice program through Military SkillBridge program. To be eligible for the DoD SkillBridge program, you must be on active duty, have at least 180 days of service, be within your final 180 days of service (or 12 months for some), complete the Transition Assistance Program (TAPS), get your unit commander's approval, and meeet service-specific rules, often requiring a good discharge and meeting fitness standards , to gain a job training with industry partners before you separate.
